  • Integration of OneNote with Dynamics 365 creates notebook is automatically for the selected entity records in Dynamics 365.
  • This feature provides you the ability to easily take notes in the context of a Dynamics 365 record in various formats such as pictures, drawings, formatted text (bullet points and tables), and voice recordings in a OneNote notebook.
  • You can access the OneNote notebook directly on the activity wall in the Dynamics 365 web client or from the record form in the Dynamics 365 mobile apps.
  • Pre requisite for OneNote integration is SharePoint integration.

 

Below are the steps to enable OneNote Integration:

Step 1: Turn on server-based SharePoint integration

  • Go to Settings - > Document Management -> Enable Server-Based SharePoint Integration
  • Click on Next
  • Click on Next
  • To get the URL of SharePoint click on the navigation to other application

  • Click on SharePoint and copy the URL and past in the below enter URL then click on ok

  • Click on Next.
  • Click on Finish. After we’re set up the CRM to SharePoint integration, we just have a few simple steps to enable the use of OneNote integration. This is show below:

Step 2: Turn on OneNote integration

  • Go to Settings - > Document Management -> OneNote integration

  • Select the entities on which you need to integrate OneNote and then click on finish button.

  • Next go to account entity and open a record you can see the OneNote integrated on the account entity.

  • Click on OneNote.

  • Next click on the untitled then we can implement the data in the OneNote.

  • User can add section and page for more in the OneNote Click on the above highlighted.

  • The user can share the link and share the document.

  • The user can draw the data, print the data, and insert the data too.

  • If the user want more entitles then the existed entity.

  • Go to settings -> customization –> select the entity to which user want to integrate OneNote.

  • Click on the checkbox of OneNote integration. And also click on the Document Management. As below

  • Click on save and publish it

  •   Go to Settings > Document Management.
  •   Choose OneNote Integration.
  • The user can see the entity in the OneNote integration as shown below.

  • Click on finish.

 

To turn off OneNote integration

  • Go to Settings > Document Management.
  • Choose OneNote Integration.

  • In the OneNote Integration Setting dialog box, uncheck all the entities and then choose Finish.
